ACCOUNTANT ~ STAFF

HOUSTON, TEXAS

 

Job Description:

Calculate natural gas gross margins for various markets

Pipeline natural gas volume reconciliations

Natural gas storage reconciliation and valuation

Prepare detailed spreadsheet for pricing analysis

Journal entries to record natural gas transactions

General ledger account reconciliations

Compare projections to actual margins, analyze differences

Detailed data analysis

 

 

Job Requirements:

1-2 years accounting experience, energy industry experience preferred

Accounting degree preferred.  Finance or other business degree with a minimum of 12 hrs of accounting req

Advanced Excel required & Access knowledge preferred

1st and 2nd tier schools preferred.  GPA 3.0 or above 3.5 or above preferred depending on university

Strong communication and organizational skills

Solomon accounting experience preferred
