Job Purpose:
Magnaflux, a division of Fortune 200 Company Illinois Tool Works Inc, is the leading supplier of resonance-based Nondestructive Test (NDT) systems. We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team in our DeWitt IA facility as a Staff Accountant.

Essential Functions:

Various cost accounting functions to verify inventory is being recorded properly, including review and update of Bill of Materials to ensure correct costs and quantities are relieved from inventory.Process inventory transactions (debit memos, packing slips, RAs, etc.) Various accounts payable functions; code and input vouchers on a timely basis to ensure prompt payment to vendors. Work with purchasing to resolve price discrepancies. Reconcile freight bills to related bill of lading, assign account numbers, and submit for payment; prepare monthly freight analysis Prepare weekly payroll entries and month end accruals to book labor, withholdings, fringes, burden and taxes. Prepare related job tax credit information. Maintain spreadsheets to prepare monthly journal entry relating to miscellaneous inventory issues, return authorizations, items returned to inventory or scrapped and stock transfers to other locations. Prepare daily sales and bookings report.

Qualified Candidates:

must have a bachelors degree in accounting or finance; at least 2 years accounting experience; computer literate - excel a must!; MAS500 experience a plus; must be able to work independenly with little supervision.
