To be qualified for this position, candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.  Must be proficient in Excel. Prior experience wuth public accounting a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills.Knowledge of sales tax regulations.   Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial statements and/or projections, in accordance with GAAP.

Job Summary:

 Prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.  The position involves general accounting, asset accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting.

 

Essential Functions:

 Under limited direction, recommends and implements accounting policies and procedures, and accounting, taxation, data control, accounts payable, and contract functions.  

Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions Analyze variable costs and make appropriate budget adjustments Establish and maintain internal controls Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements Prepare journal entries Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts Research account disputes and billing discrepancies Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules
