The Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is the central focus for real-time software development, integration, test and validation activities for these systems within IDS . We provide engineering design processes, standards and test expertise to Raytheon's current programs, along with new system technology development.
Job Description : The Early Warning Radar Software Department is responsible for software analysis, design, development, integration & test on several large phase array radar systems, both land and ship based. The Candidate would be located at Colorado Springs , CO , working with ITT teammates. The candidate will perform lifecycle engineering of radar software applications, applying object oriented methodologies to all aspects of engineering. The candidate will implement software in high level languages such as C++ and Java. The candidate will design, develop, and test software on various platforms for phased array radar sustainment efforts underway on the SENSOR contract. The candidate will also support requirements analysis, preliminary and critical designs, code implementation, unit testing, and support test engineering as needed on assigned software changes.
Primary job functions include:
· Support software modifications with an understanding of the software hierarchy levels and user impacts
· Use Object-Oriented engineering practices
· Support SW CM activities
· Provide document red-lines
· Participate in meetings with the customer
· Support software system integration
· Support program processes, including peer reviews and unit testing
· Communicate with site personnel regarding any issues that may arise and the best course of action to resolve them
Basic Qualifications:
· 6 + years experience in software development
· Detailed knowledge of OO C++ implementations, CORBA, UML, RUP
· Radar SW experience
· Good written and oral communication skills, including ability to organize, write, and deliver artifacts for the project
· Ability to work well in a team environment, which includes customers, government representatives, peers, and associates.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Active Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
· UEWR phased array radar SW experience
Required Education (including Major): B.S. and/or M.S. in engineering, science and/or mathematics
