We are actively recruiting for a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Quality and Support team. Position Requires up to 25% annual travel. Position Summary: Expected Contributions to the Role: The Fiserv Insurance Group provides innovative insurance technology, professional services, and outsourcing solutions to Life, P&C, Flood, and Reinsurance carriers, managing general agents, and administrators. Our solutions include insurance policy and claims administration, underwriting, rating, advanced billing and collections, point-of-sale technology, straight-through processing solutions and business process outsourcing. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the Fiserv Reinsurance products meet high quality standards. This role will be responsible for validating and verifying the products through demonstrable application of solid QA methodologies. Under minimal or no supervision, this individual should be able to perform and guide complex activities associated with testing of the Reinsurance products; analyze test results; recommend quality improvements to software products and development process; work closely with QA Analysts, Business Analysts, and Developers on the assigned team; interact with project team to ensure high-quality requirements, design, development and release of software. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Expected Contributions to the Department and Company: This individual will work with clients and management using their strong analytical skills to solve diverse problems where limited precedents or guidelines may exist. Be able to understand the business problem and the impact on the system. Be able to assist less experienced team members on QA methodologies. Major Areas of Accountability that Support Contributions:Develop and execute test plans and test cases using structured QA methodologies for validating and verifying products (including manual and automated testing) ensuring appropriate test coverage. Analyze, comprehend and verify test metrics obtained from test procedures and is able to communicate and defend these metrics to team lead, mentor and/or Project Management. Use defect-tracking tool to analyze, report and track application defects and enhancement change requests. Gather metrics on various testing phases and is able to summarize findings. Participate in identifying, developing and implementing applicable processes and controls within the Quality group. Help in defining QA processes and methodologies as required. Mentor and may lead and direct work for other Quality Analysts on the team. Participate in designs and requirements reviews with Business Analysts and Development Team to ensure designs and requirements are clear, concise and testable. Acquire relevant business and product knowledge necessary for validating Reinsurance products to required quality expectations. Strong teamwork and communication skills to interact with internal, as well as, external clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training: Experience:6+ years software industry related experience with minimum of 4 years of progressive software testing experience. Knowledge of automated testing tools. Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Exposure to diverse platforms and operating systems. Experience working with offshore partners. Must understand the concept and practical application of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus. Exposure to the P&C insurance / reinsurance industry is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Independent judgment is a must. Education/Certifications/Training:Bachelor’s degree in computer related field (preferred) or related industry experience with 6+ years software testing experience. Quality or Software testing certification is a plus. Physical Conditions/Requirements:Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing. Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Capable of using a keyboard effectively. Frequently required to sit for long periods of time. Occasional travel to meetings or outside training may be required. This position is exempt. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Salary must be provided to be considered.
