Project Engineer Sr.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a Sr. Project Engineer who can ensure the timely and efficient completion of larger, complicated or multiple projects to achieve company cost and customer service objectives. Acts as project leader with senior level technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting complex technical projects or major phases of projects involving the design and development of new or improved products and/or processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Prepare reliability and safety analysis document to provide detailed and comprehensive assessments of new system designs.

-          Present the results of reliability and safety analysis during internal and customer design reviews.

-          Provide analysis to demonstrate system compliance with FAA regulations.

-          Integrate information from sub-tier suppliers into a system safety/reliablity analysis.

-          This job function can reside in Irvine (California), Everett (Washington) or Fort Worth (Texas). Travel is required.

REQUIREMENTS

-            Bachelor’s degree (BS) in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline.

-            Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of related experience.  MS preferred.

-            Experience with fault trees, FMECAs, Reliability Predictions and Safety/Hazard Analysis for electromechanical flight systems.

-            Knowledge in probablity and statistical analysis

-            Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively in a project team environment.

-            Strong written and verbal communications skills. Applicant is required to present material to the project teams and at design reviews.

-            Knowledge of some relevant specifications, e.g. SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, RTCA DO-178b
