Amazon Mobile Payments is Amazon’s new mobile payment service. Just launched in 2007 and positioned for exponential growth in 2008, the Mobile Payments team is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to help drive the business on a daily basis. The successful Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for generating, soliciting, and executing on ideas for acquiring new customers and increasing stickiness of existing customers. This person will guide the process from idea generation to assessment of scale, acquisition cost, profit potential and technical feasibility. The manager will be responsible for marketing & financial analysis including analyzing customer behavior, tracking sales, revenue, & key business growth metrics. This position requires close collaboration with all the Mobile Payments technical team and with business teams throughout Amazon. Other job responsibilities will range from international entry strategy and pricing strategy to customer profiling, marketing campaign management, and customer trend analysis. This role is a central part of the Mobile Payments business team and will have a large say in the day-to-day operations and promotion of the business. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years experience in acquisition marketing in a consumer online business, proven data analysis skills, interest, passion and experience in the mobile business, and demonstrated ability to build new programs rather than just administering existing ones. All candidates should have meaningful experience in a number of the above. MBA in marketing is a plus.
