We are currently looking to fill the role of Sr Occupational Health Nurse at our Berkeley site.
The candidate for the position:
1. Has in-depth knowledge of OSHA standards/regulations, worker's compensations laws, disability management and other related healthcare/government regulations
2. Provides nursing assessment and treatment for injuries and illnesses
3. Maintains medical records for medical and legal purposes
4. Conducts pre-placement and surveillance examinations and evaluates/interprets physical evaluation results for proper job placement, ability to work and follow-up care
5. Provides evaluation, triage, and appropriate treatment/interventions for minor to life-threatening injuries and illnesses
6. Provides case management for short term/long term disability and worker compensation cases as part of the OH Team
7. Provides health promotion/wellness services as part of team approach to power the business by promoting health and well-being of employees
8. Demonstrates expertise in conducting ergonomic medical evaluations and applies principles of early intervention to reduce injury.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in one of the health, physical, or natural sciences preferred
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing/nurse practitioner program
Minimum of 5 years experience in the occupational health field
Current registered nurse licensure in California
California Nurse Practitioner licensure .
