As a senior level individual contributor, this position is part of a team of network engineers responsible for Maintenance, Support, Trouble Resolution, Root Cause Analysis and SLA maintenance for a large, enterprise LAN / MAN environment in the Orlando FL area. In addition to daily SLA compliance and routine break-fix duties, this position will support projects to enhance & maintain Local Area Network and WiFi facilities, including horizontal & vertical cabling (fiber & copper), outside plant, patch panels, racks, cabinets, UPS, electrical and RF (WiFi) engineering. The selected individual must demonstrate excellent customer service & team building skills, will be required to routinely interact directly with customers, and must participate in & foster a “team environment.” This position will frequently be called upon to resolve difficult network facilities problems and will interact as a technical leader of other network support engineers to diagnose and resolve network issues. This position operates in a 7x24x365 SLA driven environment, requiring flexible work hours. Education / Training: (Preferred) College degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree). RCDD (required), CCNA (preferred), CWNA (preferred). Required Skill Set: IN-DEPTH EXPERIENCE WITH CABLING, FACILITIES, UPS AND ELECTRICAL 10+ YEARS LAN / MAN FACILITIES DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION AND SUPPORT REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN CONFIGURATION AND SUPPORT OF LARGE ENTERPRISE NETWORKS (2000+ NODES) (WiFi / 802.11) WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEERING, CONFIGURATION AND SUPPORT EXPERIENCE Job Requirements: In-depth experience with structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc. (10 years). Demonstrated LAN / MAN facilities engineering and support experience (10 years). Experience in supporting large, complex LAN / MAN networks. Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches. Working knowledge of installation, support & maintenance of WiFi / 802.11 wireless LAN systems. Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead (when required), and as a participant in a team environment. Positive, proactive, “can do” attitude. Willingness to participate in rotating schedules and share on-call duties. Ability to respond to on-call / on-site situations in southwest Orlando within required SLA parameters (1 hr max drive time). IP, DHCP, DNS administration experience (preferred).
