Sr. Mechanical Engineer- Detroit, MI- 71265

 

Summary:

Apply a wide application of engineering design and analytical principles, and techniques to perform a variety of engineering design, analysis, and tests in development of various mechanical parts used in Military vehicles. Use advanced CAD and CAE software for developing and analyzing virtual prototypes. Produce documentations, results findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and perform simple to complex engineering design, analysis, for a portion of a project or may lead these activities for a small project. Meet schedule, and performance requirements with minimal supervision.Perform technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results to solve challenging engineering problems, using specialized computer programs, models, and simulations.Provide input, analysis, and recommendations to project leaders for the development of solutions to complex technical problems or independently solves problems, ensuring compliance with requirements.Ensure technical designs /solutions are in accordance with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements by analyzing and interpreting requirements/specifications.Develop and write technical documentation.Prepare and present task/project technical results, recommendations and solutions to internal and external customers.

 

Required Skills:

10 years experience with a Masters in Mechanical EngineeringHigh analytical ability to solve a wide range of technical design problemsExperience in using FEA, Multi-body Dynamics, CAD modeling software, Application software, MSC Adams, Nastran, Dytran, Pro-Mechanical, FEA thermal analysisHeavy Vehicle experience, like tanks, commercial vehicles, construction vehicles, etc.US Citizenship Required
