This position is responsible for directing the development and execution of the company’s short-term and long-term branding strategy and image, managing the development of advertising the corporation and its products through key marketing communication vehicles. These vehicles include oversight of the management and coordination of all marketing channels, including advertising, media strategy, and vendor management. Management of these channels includes relationship building, contact strategy development, reporting and execution. This position conceptualizes, designs and produces the company’s creative strategy and implements it consistently across the entire line of products, services and programs. This position focuses on strategic business-building marketing projects and direction as opposed to tactical management of the same. The purpose of the role is to plan marketing activities in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Participates in defining strategic direction for the company and translates this into actionable marketing programs. Drives marketing strategy and is responsible for all marketing/communications project execution. Develops brand, media, and marketing communication strategies to support company strategies and business objectives in both domestic and international markets. Actively advise senior managers in supporting brand principles.Plans and implements marketing strategy including branding/positioning, collateral development, media relations, advertising and vendor management. Manages the relationship with third party suppliers such as the marketing agency and the media buyer.Plans and manages marketing resources according to agreed budgets. Develops and manages department budget. Helps develop the direction of customer acquisition and retention, including customer contact strategy to increase revenue, database segmentation, creative strategy and reporting. Conceptualizes, designs, and manages the production of all advertising and printed materials for the acquisition of new customers and business clientsOversight of the concept, design, and management of the production of all marketing campaigns.Establishes and implements, through team, the look-and-feel of the company’s Web sites to include conceptualizing and designing all web pages; optimizing graphics for use on the web; and working with development teams to ensure proper implementation of product development and user interface design.Full responsibility either directly and/or indirectly for managing and handling personnel activities (i.e. hires, fires, trains, coaches, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, etc.). Applies and recommends personnel policies and objectives of the company. Evaluates progress and results regarding department activities and goal attainment.Shares and clarifies overall company vision and related department strategies with associates. Provides factual organizational insight. Builds alliances with and establishes communication bridge with staff, other work units, management, external partners and customers. Promotes teamwork within and across work units; meets with other work units to mutually establish goals and measures for joint processes and customer management. Establishes measures and defines the framework for their collection to ensure consistency among groups. Ensures that all associates are educated in all compliance issues as they affect business unit operations.Participates in making product offering decisions.Maintains professionalism and stays abreast of new developments through contacts with educational institutions, professional organizations, publications, and customers.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (required), along with 8+ years of demonstrated management and professional graphic design or related marketing experience. In addition, the candidate must possess strong business sense and proven ability to translate product or business expectations into relevant terms that are meaningful, motivating, and leverage visual creative talent. Also, the candidate should have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive deadlines. Attention to detail and strong work ethic is necessary. In addition, strong background in web design with a true understanding of graphic design principles and how they apply to the web is helpful. Conceptual thinker, team player, excellent communication skills with clients and coworkers. HTML knowledge and web design experience a plus. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must have experience using PC computing platforms. Strong technical acumen.
