Sr. Kernel Developer
API and C/C++
Be a part of a small, elite Development Team responsible for developing highly sophisticated virtualization software on the OS platforms. As a Developer you will architect, develop, debug and add new features into the customers' code base and apply your engineering skills to solve problems found. You will provide useful insight and ideas relative to anticipated challenges in your area of responsibility in the code used, while keeping up with current and future developments within job-related technical fields.
This is a Senior position where you will effectively assess and efficiently carry out directives and project objectives. You job responsibilities will be to test the functionality and performance of all new code added into the products; optimize code and plan development and use of new virtualization technologies; maintain existing software as needed; support new Windows client and server platforms; solve problems: analyze performance data, work with developers and hardware.
This is an estimated 6 month contract position with the possibility of an extension through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Requirements:
Required Skills for this Sr. Kernel Developer includes the following: Must Have: Kernel, API and C/C++ programming Minimum 5-7 years' programming experience A minimum of 4 years experience in C/C++ programming Extensive knowledge of Windows System and Kernel-level API Excellent learning capabilities and a very strong technical background Team player, who is highly self-motivated. Good troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to effectively assess and efficiently carry out directives and project objectives.
