Sr. HVAC Engineer- Syracuse, NY- 10312

 

Summary:

This candidate will be responsible for the design/selections of piping, ductwork, pumps, boilers, and control systems as well as preparation of contract drawing and specs.

 

Responsibilities:

Consults with client to determine objective and resources of project. Responsible for development of projects in specific regard to engineering scope of work, budget, and schedule. Responsible for preparation of engineering contract documents, following established office standards. Responsible for selection of materials, equipment, and other components. Responsible for code analysis and compliance of project designs. Utilizes computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) equipment and software to perform design duties and review work of others. Plans layout of the project, and interfaces with other disciplines to integrate all project elements into unified design for client review and approval. Evaluates existing project conditions, and oversees project measure-ups at locations outside of BDA offices. Responsible for preparation of project estimates. Performs technical and coordination checking of project documents.

 

Required Skills:

Associates Required/Bachelors PreferredP.E. required10+ years of experience in the design of HVAC building systemsDemonstrate technical ability as well as experience working with other design trades
