Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI is looking for a highly skilled, dynamic individual to provide analytic support to our Wellness and Care Management Programs.  As Michigan’s leading non-profit health care provider, we are committed to improving the health of Michigan residents and advancing the quality of care they receive.

Working in a team environment, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the construction of decision analytic models.  This position will work closely with all areas in the Clinical Programs division to plan and execute projects. 

 

Typical projects will include:

Develop activity based models for new products that estimate cost and benefitsDeveloping ROI models for Care Management and Provider Incentive ProgramsDeveloping cost accounting methods for Care Management processesDevelop operational processes to support BCBSM’s Care Management Consultative Sales functionsDeveloping advanced models for estimating cost savings for care management programsOther analytic projects necessary to support the Clinical Programs area

 

Position requirements:

Education, training or significant job experience in a field involving development of advanced models in areas such as financial analysis, actuarial sciences, operations engineering, health economics, provider incentive programs or other related fieldStrong analytic modeling conceptualization and construction skills (i.e. decision analytic modeling, business process modeling, financial modeling, etc)Strong writing and reporting skillsSolid working knowledge of reporting tools and software: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and VisioDemonstrated ability to take the initiative and handle a variety of assignments simultaneouslyDemonstrated leadership skills, an ability to think outside of the box and thrive on new challengesBachelors degree is required; Masters degree preferred
