ATMEL is currently seeking a Sr. Firmware Development Engineer for it's Colorado Springs, CO site.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include architecture, development, testing and release of system software and firmware to support the ATMEL Crypto Products embedded activity. Will provide software architecture for complete solutions incorporating Atmel developed code, ATMEL contracted code and/or licensed code.

Skills/Education:

BSEE, BSCE, BSCS or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Must have solid C/C++ and Assembly language experience. Strong knowledge of embedded system architecture and software solutions running under modern OS's. Strong background in IT security and threat analysis primarily. Strong background in object-based and/or object oriented programming. Knowledge of integrated circuit hardware fundamentals and microprocessor functionality. Strong mathematics background with a willingness to learn cryptographic operations and procedures. Knowledge of Trusted Platform Module architecture, USB and serial communications a plus.
