3PAR is seeking a Senior Level Engineering Technician to provide Technical and Lab support to our Engineering team. This position requires comprehensive component, PCB and system level administration and debug skills. Will be responsible for configuring, testing and administering all levels of our InServ product line. Detailed understanding of electronic principles will be applied to help 3PAR take our next generation products into production as well as sustaining our existing in house products. Understanding Analog and Digital circuitry, the ability to understand, build and debug one-off circuits, develop and use test procedures, as well as the ability to apply organized and detailed test reports is a must. A good understanding of Windows, Solaris and Linux operating systems will also be used to help maintain a highly motivated Engineering Team. Moderate understanding of networking topology and the ability to troubleshoot and administer basic networking issues will be useful.

Must have excellent debug and test skills. Must also have extensive knowledge in the use of Analog and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Logic analyzers and other types of electronic test equipment. Basic understanding of networking equipment, including Network Terminal Servers, Switches, Hubs, fiber/copper cable management skills are useful. SMT rework skills and understanding the tools needed to perform all levels of SMT, through-hole and a good understanding of BGA reworking equipment are also useful.

Experience and Skills:
A.S. degree in electronics or equivalent. 5 years of Technical Support experience in an Engineering Development Environment. Knowledge in SMT rework, Oscilloscope and other types of test and measurement equipment are a must. Great communication skills, a positive self-motivating attitude, and a desire to be a team player will ensure a good fit into our organization.
