Member of an engineering team that evaluates products and product services, provides recommendations, and engages in advocacy for the delivery of products that are secure from internal and external threats.
.Balance security needs with business requirements ensuring that timelines are met.
.Document and present to non-technical audiences assessments of risks and trade-offs to support business decisions.
.Define security methods and systems needed to protect content, data, new products and services.
.Work with vendors to improve the security of their products. Create requirements documents defining Comcast needs.
.Specify security requirements for network and systems engineering so that the appropriate security can be put in place.
.Identify potential vendors that could help meet any new security requirements.
.Represent Comcast interests at industry meetings focused on security.
.Document interfaces.
.Collaborate with internal and external business partners and peers to ensure that the required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases to support cross-product features.
.Produce all technical documents supporting engineering requirements.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills:
4-6 years of increasing responsibility in internet, voice, and network security with at least 3 years of cyber security responsibility. Web application security experience is very helpful.
.Possess direct product design experience in three of the following disciplines: voice, video, wireless, or data. Ideal candidate will have worked 2-3 years in a "triple-play" (voice/video/data) environment.
.Bachelors in engineering or computer science preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of educational experience.
.CISSP or SANS GIAC certification preferred.
.Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics; effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, make presentations to an internal audience and interacting positively with senior management
.Possess independent problem solving skills, is self-directed and able to work in a small to medium sized technical team.
