Job Responsibilities: Electrical design for the integration of mission and avionic systems into military helicopters. Responsibilities will include system interface design between mission and avionic systems, actuators, and sensors requiring a strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals in both analog and digital electrical circuits. Detail design tasking includes the creation of system wiring diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICD), Test Procedures, electrical design drawings for control panels, circuit breaker panels, electrical cable assemblies and installation of cable assemblies using engineering analysis and design fundamentals including drawing preparation with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Engineering liaison activities will include providing support during the manufacturing, installation, and system test phases including system trouble shooting utilizing electronic test equipment. Responsibilities will also include participating in project planning, proposal estimating, technical requirements management, and interfacing with Program Management and the Customer including participation in formal design reviews. Other engineering duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology + a minimum of 4 years electrical engineering experience. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Must be able to work overtime as required. Physical Requirements: Primarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat/cold.
