Description:
This is a Senior Principal Technology Architecture position responsible for developing and managing specific Domain Architectures across all US based functions. The successful incumbent will lead the development and management of the Architecture Strategy covering specific targeted domain(s). This domain will include utilizing various reporting capabilities such as Business Objects, MicroStrategies, SAP BI, SAS, Oracle BI. The tools will need to be leveraged to support dashboards, DSS (Decision Support Systems), EIS (Executive Info Systems), Ad-hoc Reporting & Analytics, Report Automation, Data Mining, Service Oriented Report delivery etc. The incumbent will work closely with the Solutions Architecture, as well as Enterprise Architecture leadership, to provide strategic direction and oversight to the implementation of their selected domain accountabilities. The incumbent will also actively participate in the global architecture community to leverage and influence domain architecture standards, capabilities, and strategies.
Major Responsibilities
· Leads the creation of Domain Architecture strategies for assigned domains across all US functional areas. Manages achievement of strategy working closely with Enterprise Arch, Solutions Arch, Service Delivery, and Solutions Delivery teams.
· Optimizes the impact and adoption of target domain(s), driven by functional business demands, industry trends, and both current and future technology capabilities.
· Provides advanced technical expertise and thought leadership in the assigned domain architectures.
· Leads the development of Domain Architecture Best Practices and trains and mentors Enterprise Arch, Solutions Arch, Service Delivery, and Solutions Delivery teams.
· Defines and implements necessary processes and tools to effectively manage the domain architecture including governance/standards processes, modeling capabilities, training programs, and communication plans.
· Actively contributes to the US IS Architecture Strategy through a thorough understanding of the interrelationships between domain architectures.
· Influences global domain architecture capabilities through active participation on domain-specific forums, definition/adoption of global standards and contribution to global architecture strategies.
· Establishes, coordinates and directs domain architecture activities and is a recognized expert within the global domain architecture community.
· Leads and directs activities within the US IS Domain architecture area including associated reference architectures, design/usage patterns, and domain strategy/standards.

Regulatory Awareness (where applicable):
· Expert understanding of US IS regulatory requirements, IS SOPs and Validation SOPs.
· Identifies regulatory risks related to architectural components and develops mitigation strategies.
Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Validation:
· Has expert knowledge of the system development life cycle.
· Leads efforts in SDLC compliance and optimization.
· Understands relationship between SDLC and other management frameworks.

Responsibilities
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
· Minimum 10 years cumulative experience in architecture and supporting methodologies, with at least 5 years in the domain(s) of focus
· A broad understanding of architecture covering all aspects from business/process, information, application to infrastructure architecture.
· Working knowledge of necessary operating model components to support architecture implementation and adoption.
· Strong analysis, conceptual thinking and modeling capabilities.
· Strong relationship management, strategic influencing, and communication skills.
· Delivery focused and creative in finding ways of delivering.
· Ability and desire to work globally and see this as a great opportunity.
