Senior leadership position within GDIT's Health Services Group primarily supporting the Military Health System. Responsibilities will include overseeing a $15M division with over 100 personnel located throughout the United States and at overseas locations such as Germany, Japan, and Korea. Ensure continued customer intimacy with Army, Navy, Air Force, and Joint/DoD programs in the Military Health System, especially at military hospitals and clinics. Must be comfortable and confident in hospital environment interacting with military leadership, physicians, clinicians, nurses, researchers, logisticians, and administrative staff. Requires in-depth understanding of hospital care structure and current issues in military healthcare.

Individual will have a wide variety of managerial, financial, and business development responsibilities. Will be responsible for attaining revenue, profit, and aggressive growth goals on an annual basis. Duties include tracking and forecasting monthly direct and indirect costs, managing and monitoring employee workload, ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner for existing contracts, and motivating and guiding project managers to meet and exceed business goals. Work closely with GDIT Headquarters contracts, finance, legal, human resources, and IT staff to ensure that customer and employee requirements are met on a daily basis. Conduct employee performance appraisals and counsel employees as necessary.

Individual will conduct meetings and reviews with current employees and customers to ensure that projects are being performed according to quality standards within required budget and timeframe. Responsible for ensuring follow-on and recompete contract success as well as growing existing business with current customer base by gaining in-depth understanding of future customer direction and needs.

Participate in strategic planning and business development process for GDIT Health Services Group. Assist with creation and attainment of division and group vision, mission, goals, and objectives. Assist with development of future business pipeline in military health system. Will have extensive proposal development and preparation responsibilities as part of capture teams in varying roles such as capture manager, proposal manager, technical writer, and red team reviewer. Will also assist with pricing and development of cost proposals. Requires understanding of government contracting process and contract vehicles such as ID/IQs, GWACs, BPAs, GSA service schedules, etc. Must understand management of CPFF, FFP, T&M, and CPAF contracts.


Requires BS/BA degree in a related field such as engineering, health care administration, nursing, bioinformatics, science, or medical information technology; MBA or MS in management preferred. Certifications in Project Management or Defense Acquisition are extremely helpful.

Requires 8-10+ years management experience. Individual must have experience supporting military health system as a military officer, government civilian, or government contractor. Prior business management and business development experience in contracting industry is a plus. Must have functional expertise in areas such as health care administration, patient safety, clinical operations, military field medical operations, and/or force health protection. Requires intermediate skills in MS office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Sharepoint. Demonstrated experience working within a team environment to achieve corporate goals. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to work effectively within fast-moving, dynamic work environment. Demonstrated capture management experience and understanding of the complete capture management/business development/proposal life-cycle process. Ability to provide leadership to Project Managers and mentor junior level Project Managers. Excellent written, oral, and personal communications skills.
