We are looking for a Sr. Database Architect either for Contracting or Full Time employment. This is an immediate need for our company and no travel is involved. 7 – 10 years of experience in administration, design, development and implementation of database systems as well as extensive experience in programming using PL/SQL and SQL.

Database expertise include setup, configuration, performance tuning, upgrading, patching, monitoring, backup and recovery of multiple versions of Database at all levels of the software life cycle.

Must have worked on multiple complex development projects from the High Level design to the  detail design stage (engineering)

Must have recent/current experience as Database Enterprise Architect (Title in past job)

Responsibilities will include gathering requirements, meetings with technical and business teams, designing database architecture solution, preparing and presenting High level solution architecture document.

Comfortable presenting to technical and business user groups.

Should be equally familiar with SQL and Oracle.

Strong preference: Oracle Certified Professional AND Microsoft Certified – SQL Server 2005

Must be up to date on current best practices
