HNTB is seeking a senior-level project manager to help us grow our aviation practice in Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity with the potential for a successful candidate to progress to a Regional Aviation Leader role in the future. The Sr. Civil Aviation Project Manager will focus efforts in these areas: -Providing coordination of project execution and control of aviation design projects to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design. -Handling specific design aspects on airfield design projects; -Coordinating efforts of assigned aviation design team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design effort. -Serving as technical liaison with client on project efforts. (This position will require frequent interaction and coordination with other aviation professionals throughout the firm). -Assisting the Office Leader in assembling and analyzing information, including financial position, market position, business organization and structure. -Preparing reports and presentations to help assess and communicate the current state of the business, as well as potential business opportunities. -Setting and execution of marketing strategy for the department to help achieve marketing and sales performance goals, including go/no go decisions on projects. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: -A strong marketing focus and technical expertise in airfield engineering including: new runway extensions, taxiway systems, runway/taxiway reconstruction, apron improvements, pavement rehabilitation/construction, airfield bridges and tunnels, deicing and runoff collection and treatment systems, drainage systems, runway and taxiway lighting, taxiway guidance signs, visual navigation aids, etc. -Good working knowledge of aviation planning and terminal planning/design -Proven profitable project management performance -Knowledge of applicable FAA requirement, airport operations/development, aviation industry management/methods practices; and business development. -Experience at large/hub airports. -Excellent written/communication skills. -A bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering. -A minimum of 16 years of airfield design experience. -A PE license.
