Brewer Science, a leading supplier of specialty coatings to the microelectronics industry is currently seeking a full-time Senior Chemist. This position is located in Rolla, Missouri.Duties and responsibilities include: Responsible for basic trouble-shooting on test equipment/instrumentation.
Represent Quality Assurance group on Operations (MRB, CAR, etc) or Technical teams.
Develop and validate analytical/functional tests per internal and external clients’ requests.
Conduct special testing according to internal or external customer-specific needs.
Engage in independent or team-sponsored laboratory investigations or research to support Brewer Science and its customers.
Independently manage and provide technical leadership for a project or portions of a project.
Ensure that the use and storage of inspection/measuring/test equipment or instrumentation is such that the accuracy, precision, and fitness for use are maintained.
Improve efficiency, accuracy, and precision of the measurement methods.
Supervise or mentor junior staff in development and improvement of measurement methods, or in material characterization.
Work with wide latitude for completing complex projects requiring the origination and application of new or unique approaches.
Participate on or lead Operations (MRB, CAR, etc) or Technical teams.
Engage in independent or team-sponsored laboratory investigations or research to support Brewer Science and its customers.
Demonstrate ability to communicate with external customers. This activity may require domestic or international travel.
Identify, evaluate, and validate new technologies for Brewer Science.
May represent Brewer Science at outside technical forums.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years experience or
Master’s degree plus 3 years experience or
PhD. Preferred or
Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
