Sr. CAD Designer/Design Engineer
The Sr. CAD Designer/Design Engineer is Responsible for:
-Timely creation of manufacturing documents.
-Creation of accurate and constrained solid models required for manufacture
-Generate and track “M” and “BM” numbers related to project
-Creation of parts detail drawings based on model assemblies
-Generate and track part numbers (“OP”) related to project
-Creation of parts detail drawings based on model assemblies
-Release of drawing packages to PES
-Thorough understanding of BOM creation and accuracy
-Working knowledge corporate ERP system and routing structures
-Assist purchasing in sourcing materials
-Prompt Interaction with Manufacturing either in Prototype or Production to answer questions and resolve issues. Fully support corporate DCR process.
-Timely creation of presentation drawings
-Creation of accurate solid models required for presentation drawings
-Interaction with Sales and / or Project Management to obtain information needed to produce the required product to satisfy Customer demand at a profitable cost.
-Travel, as required, to meet with customers, manufacturing, or to gather information.
-Manage and establish schedules for all designers within the related department.
-Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Design Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
-Working knowledge of wood and/or sheet metal products, mainly raw materials
-Working knowledge of wood and/or sheet metal manufacturing technology, including tooling, machining, finishing, laminating and assembly
-Knowledge of Pan Oston manufacturing capabilities
-Functional knowledge of Auto Desk Inventor and AutoCAD software
-Functional knowledge of Microsoft office software including, but not limited to: Word, Excel and Outlook
-Ability to navigate and use Pan Oston database systems
-General knowledge of Pan Oston products
-Interpersonal skills – the ability to interact with peers and superiors
-Must be able to multi-task. Required to handle numerous projects at the same time in an organized manner.
-Required to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization
-BA Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
