Westinghouse Electric Company, Nuclear Fuel, is seeking a Sr. Buyer/Material Planner in its Strategic Sourcing department for its Specialty Metals Plant (SMP) located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. The employees of SMP manufacture zirconium-alloy tubing products used in nuclear fuel assemblies for Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel, our licensees, and other customers worldwide. At our facility, we use state-of-the-art manufacturing and inspection systems to meet the exacting standards and demanding tolerances required by our customers.
In this position, a Sr. Buyer/Material is expected to purchase a wide variety of materials and services from third party vendors that are required in the normal operation of the plant.
- Place purchase orders, issue change notices and approve invoices.
- Expedite needed material requirements and provide follow in order to obtain supplier delivery schedules.
- Develop knowledge of the plant's operation and supplier's capability in order to maximize opportunities to obtain highest value. A successful candidate will have knowledge of and/or possess the following:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in non-technical field such as Business Administration or Supply Management.

Typically three to five years of professional experience.
