The Sr. Research Associate, under minimal supervision, would have the primary responsibilities of providing bioanalytical support for PK/PD/TK studies, in vitro ADME assays and drug metabolism studies. Specific responsibilities include sample preparation, analytical method development, performing LC-MS/MS and HPLC quantative analysis and designing (with the help of a supervisor) experimental protocols and procedures. The associate will prepare reagents and chemical solution, perform specialized laboratory procedures as appropriate to the individual laboratory, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies. Additional responsibilities include maintaining laboratory notebook and/or computer files, participating in group and project meetings, and attending and presenting at seminars as required. This position may also provide some guidance, supervision, and/or instruction to Research Associates or Lab Assistants. Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or life sciences field is required. 2 to 4 years laboratory experience using LC-MS/MS is required. Preferred Qualifications Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot triple-quadrupole mass spectrometers and a basic knowledge of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism is desired. The associate should possess good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, as well as good problem solving and scientific skills.
