Job Description:

The Company is looking for a dynamic outside sales executive that can provide both vision and leadership within a business development setting and can execute upon set revenue objectives.  The primary role of the Senior Account Executive (SAE) is to perform as a “hunter” (i.e. maximize revenue generation thru new account acquisition in the ME/NH region), while being able to provide “basic” technical support to him or herself.  This role will be physically located in the Portland, ME area and represents the company’s intention to actively move into this marketplace and eventually open a branch facility.

 

The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for generating and supporting a “book-of-business” thru a combination of the following activities:  existing clientele up-selling, prospect cold calling, event networking, incoming lead follow-up, prospect qualification, opportunity support, solution design and proposal generation.

 

The AE should demonstrate a strategic and analytical approach to penetrating new accounts.  The ideal candidate possesses a very process oriented, methodical approach to driving the sales process within a complex selling environment.  A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

The opportunity provides residual business, full business expenses, monthly commissions yielding $100K+ first year income, which could double in the next 2 years, and a solid benefits package

 

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience of “selling” into the access control and video arena.  Other viable candidates may originate from IT sales or some other technical sales position.

 

The ideal candidate should have high integrity, humility and a desire to work in a leading sales and service organization.  Experience in successfully negotiating complex sales is preferred.  Candidate must have strong excel, word and PC skills and have excellent interpersonal skills as well as organizational skills.  Candidate must be able to handle a fast paced environment, must be a team player and detail-oriented.  Leadership and/or management experience a plus.

A BA/BS is preferred.  However, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, any candidate that has a proven track record (i.e. 10+ years) in high-tech sales will be given due consideration.
