SQL Database Analyst/Administrator (DBA) (Junior to Mid Level) - Clearwater, FL

 

We currently have an immediate need for a Junior to Mid Level SQL Server DBA (Database Administrator) for our Clearwater, Florida (FL) office!

Summary:

Support and troubleshoot existing databases/issues. Insure performance and availability for multiple SQL servers handling terabytes of data. Perform database tuning and configuration to enhance performance and ensure stability. Create, revise, and maintain coded database objects including views, triggers and stored procedures and DTS packages. Work with application developers to design new relational database structure for new application development. Assist developers in revising and recording database objects and in evaluating the performance and efficiency of database code. Maintain disaster recovery, backups, restore across the environment. Monitor replication processes for multiple SQL server databases. This position requires 3+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA, proficient skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2000, Strong Transact SQL skills, and experience creating relational database structures.

Other Duties:

* Will have many different responsibilities as well as plenty of chances to learn new skills.

* Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.

* Confirms database operation by conducting tests; modifying procedures and/or settings.

* Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.

* Maintains historical records by documenting developments and revisions.

* Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
