We are currently recruiting for the following position:

SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT & CEO

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Special Assistant works closely with the President and CEO in all aspects of his/her office providing administrative and logistical support to the Office of the President.

                                                    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Manages the communication and correspondence on behalf of the President & CEO.

·          Serves as liaison to the organization’s Board of Directors; compiles and tracks all Board Committee minutes, Board updates, and other communication.

·          Interacts with various organization executives, Members of Congress, their support staff, and various high-level government officials on behalf of the President & CEO.

·          Manages the President & CEO’s scheduling and travel arrangements and will handle any administrative support as needed.

·          Manages and produce various reports, meeting content, minutes and other materials for and from the Office of the President.

·          Provides logistical and administrative support to the President & CEO’s fundraising efforts throughout the year.

·          Will advance the CEO during CHCI events in and out of town. 

·          Works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and other members of the Leadership team.

·          Interfaces with all departments of the company.

·          Provides administrative support to the CEO and other departments in a variety of capacities including telephone coverage, copier projects, mail handling, processing of letters/correspondence, events/meeting planning, invoice/expense reporting, database management and assisting with completion of specially assigned projects.

 

 

SECONDARY  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Works with other administrative personnel to accomplish organizational goals.

·          Performs special projects as assigned by the CEO.

·          May represent the President in communications/meeting and or events.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

Minimum Education:

·          BA/BS degree required.

·          Minimum 2 years related experience.

·          Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) required.

·          Strong computer skills are necessary.  A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Cardscan.

 

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills:

·          Excellent logistical and organizational skills required.

·          Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

·          A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.

·          Strong team player; works well under pressure.

·          Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Ability to handle sensitive material concerning the organization and the executive's role within the organization.

·          Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

·          Must be a self-starter and independent-minded who understands the need for detail.

·          Must be creative and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.

·          Must be flexible with time both during and after work hours.
