We are looking for a S&C Global Process Excellence Leader to run a strategic team to help us achieve our goals and enable best in class processes thru-out our integrated supply chain organization. We are seeking a real go-getter who likes finance, databases and systems who also knows sourcing.

 

The position is within the Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions S&C Global Sourcing organization supporting the ISC global factories.

 

This position exists to ensure the tactical and strategic sourcing activities are in compliance with the ACS and HON sourcing processes, develops and implements process improvements for the global tactical procurement organization, and supervises a strategic team of analysts and lean experts focused on process excellence.

 

Accountability:

This position reports to the ACS Sensing and Control Director of Global Sourcing.

 

Responsibilities:

Stay up to date in systems and technology capabilities and provide strategic direction to the global sourcing organization regarding ensuring we are taking advantage of the best in class systems.

Complying with all approved sourcing processes and policies.

Support Global Commodity Strategies developed by Global Commodity Groups and ensure alignment of these strategies with the global sourcing initiative.

Assist in setting goals and objectives for the Regional Buyers and Planners to align with total ACS metrics.

Ensure improved processes for these two functions support the ISC global initiatives in cost, quality, delivery and working capital.

Manage selection and placement; training and development; appraisal and feedback; reward and recognition for direct reports.

Assist with team building and training regarding initiation of CP/S.

Work with the Production Planning organization and put improved processes in place to drive accountability in the WC area.

Ensure best practices are shared across all S&C sites and that we are successfully initiating consignment inventory programs and driving inventory down to acceptable business levels.

Team with the Regional Buying leaders to initiate process excellence systems, processes and tools implementation to improve efficiencies in the buying function.

Drive continuous improvement activities and best practices across the tactical teams to achieve daily efficiency improvements and achieving ACS metrics. Manage departmental budget.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

 

Additional Requirements:

Graduate degree preferred.

2-5 years work experience in Operations and/or Supply Management leadership experience.

Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Leadership - strong managerial skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization; ability to lead change; effectively establishes high performing teams and role models high performance standards.

Communication and Interpersonal: Crisp verbal skills for velocity plus effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy and models behaviors to motivate the team.

 

Persistent Drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills.

Strategic Thinking: Must have the ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.

Technical: Excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization; and knowledge of technology driven sourcing processes.

Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
