Solution Architect
Reporting to the Chief Enterprise Architect, the Solution Architect will be responsible for architecting solutions on Oracle EBS and Fusion middleware platforms, as well as others applications that are part of the Back-Office environment. You will be involved in the requirement and design phases of the software development lifecycle with a dedicated focus on delivering enterprise class solutions meeting business requirements.
The desired candidate should be self-motivated and detail oriented and should have the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish. Should have the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a dynamic environment.
Experience:
- Oracle platform design and development standards, and implementing tools for enforcing defined standards and measuring software quality metrics
- Key contributor in requirements definition of most complex business initiatives.
- Thorough knowledge in Oracle EBS (AOL, AR, OM , INV, Shipping, Fulfillment, etc) & Fusion middleware products with an objective towards delivering scalable, high performance, and low maintenance software systems
- Lifecycle of reusable software components in PL/SQL, Java and Web services
- Good understanding of SOA, Application integration patterns, UML based modeling, and Agile development methodology
- Oracle deployment best practices for rollback plan, frameworks for exception management, and to identify, isolate, and resolve code issues with minimal downtime
- Proven experience in mentoring and influencing globally distributed Oracle development teams
- Ability to understand the capabilities and limitations of Oracle''s product architecture, software development platform, database architecture, application management tools, utilities and SOA architecture.
- Strong Object Oriented skills using open architecture standards such as XPDL, BPEL, UML, Servlets, SOAP, WSDL, JSPs, JDBC, SQL, JNDI, XML, HTML and J2EE best practices, design principles, and techniques.
- Desired understanding on Back-Office processes for a Software/hi-tech Industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of IT technical leadership experience, including prior experience serving as a resource to Program/Project Teams, in evaluating and proposing alternatives for resolving key technology issues.
- Minimum 3 years experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS), preferably with deep understanding of product architecture and software components.
- Minimum 3 years, recent object oriented (J2EE) application design methodology and hands-on development experience, required.
- Prior experience as an Applications Architect with SOA design expertise. Strong technical background in Oracle Jdeveloper, BPEL, ESB, and BPM and web service technologies
- Possess experience with strategic planning and ability to work with/present to Senior/Executive Management
- Strong systems hardware and software engineering background with ability to map requirements to technical solution.
- Strong project management, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ability to evaluate and critique staff ability to grasp new technologies
- Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope.
- Possession of broad understanding of company business issues and their integration with broad and complex information systems applications.
- Effective communication skills, leadership skills, presentation skills, problem-solving skills, project management skills, teaming skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully coach, evaluate and critique vendor work
- Self-motivated, self-supervised and solution driven
