Build, maintain and utilize a performance automation test harness in order to verify our performance and scalability requirements for our production environment.

The QA Performance/Automation Engineer will be part of a team implementing an innovative testing architecture to validate high performance security devices and application servers. He/she will define and implement object-oriented components of a system to dynamically configure network topologies and execute tests utilizing them. This position involves learning and understanding both legacy and state-of-the-art networking concepts, features, and protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Design a complete performance automation test harness

·         Support test case development strategy for performance testing and automation

·         Develop robust test plans that include summaries of objectives, test coverage and test reporting

·         Report findings both verbally and in writing

·         Install and configure home security hardware

·         Debug problems found with hardware, software, test case, process or requirements

·         Create defects with steps to recreate

·         Verify assigned applications meet or exceed scalability numbers provided

·         Locate bottlenecks in our system and suggest improvements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Expert in Linux and Windows

·         Java, hibernate, spring struts

·         Experience with Weblogic and Oracle

·         Understand test cases, test procedures, test requirements

·         Understand Defect Tracking software

Credentials and Experience

·         BSCS with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an object-oriented programming language

Special Requirements Be able to operate in a startup environment with a close and small team.
