WORKING JOB TITLE: software quality analyst--ITS
BASIC FUNCTION:
Position provides technical expertise in an area of technology as defined. Performs a range of tasks, which may include analysis, evaluation, design, coding and testing, installation, maintenance, support, and training under general direction.
Organization Location:
Position is typically found in Information Technology Services Groups
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge required to perform at this level is generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in the area of Computer Science or Business; and generally a minimum of 1-5 years experience in a related field.
Requires a sound working knowledge of a specific Information Technology.
Requires demonstrated ability to analyze problems of varying levels and then design and implement solutions.
Requires ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requires ability to pursue solutions and make decisions with a sense of urgency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates somewhat independently in supporting an information technology through activities such as analyzing business/technical problems; designing, coding, testing, maintaining, supporting, and installing information technology solutions; documenting procedures; administering training programs for clients.
May work independently or as part of a team in resolving more complex problems for clients.
Shares responsibility with team members for 24-hour on-call resolution.
Develops and maintains pertinent documentation and procedures for the technology area according to industry, vendor, and company standards.
Must be able to work non-standard hours and travel to Gambros various locations.

Familiarity with GMP/IEEE/ISO 9000 standards for software quality assurance.
Familiarity with documentation standards.
Familiarity with testing processes and protocols.
Familiarity with impact/risk analysis and software traceability.
Capability to implement a process discipline and maintain departmental productivity.
Should have demonstrated applying quality standards to commercial in-house software development.
Requires sound working knowledge in GUI development and object oriented methodologies.
Requires sound working knowledge of Systems Analysis and Design concepts and associated tools. Ability to perform data modeling and application design specification efforts.
Sound understanding of business issues and applying computer system solutions to meet those business needs.
