Job Description: Software Engineer (Full-time position)

21st Century Technologies is looking for a solid individual contributor to join our development team in a full time position. The main role of this team member would be to implement new functionality, identify defects, and implement appropriate fixes in support of research programs in, graph-based pattern matching, social network analysis, and artificial intelligence. Success in this role will introduce additional responsibilities and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:  
Design, implementation, testing, and documentation of Software Modules/Systems
Participation in requirements definition
Automated Install
Performance analysis
Timely response to tasking  
Following company best practices
               
Skills Required:
Must be a US Citizen.

Experience concurrently working on multiple projects
1-3 years experience working on a software development team having worked with large existing code base
Bachelors or Masters (or working towards) degree in Computer Science, Math, EE, or related field
Demonstrated proficiency in Java and/or C++
Experience in formal Software Development Processes
Experience with Windows and Linux platforms

Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Skills Preferred (but not required):
1-3 years in development of object-oriented software systems in Java or C++
Java or C++ certification (Sun Certified Java Programmer, etc.)
Exposure to/participation in research projects
Experience in compiler or virtualization technology
Experience in knowledge representation for AI
Experience in mathematical deductive logic
Use of Unified Modeling Language
Component-based software development
