The BearingPoint Hattiesburg Global Software Development Center is currently searching for a Software Development Manager with strong execution skills to provide technical oversight to our Java project development teams. This individual will be responsible for leading and technically guiding large-scale custom software development projects for our clients across a variety of industries. This opportunity involves utilizing a depth of technical knowledge and leadership skills to mentor and guide a group of extremely talented developers through multiple projects. Applicants currently working as Applications Development Manager, Software Architect, Development Team Lead, Senior Developer or Senior Software Engineer may be qualified. Success in this position depends on: 1. Ability to manage multiple projects, keeping control of projects in various stages, kickoff, design, execution and closeout. 2. Identify and implement process improvements across the team. 3. Ability to form and foster productive relationships with clients, members of your own team, and other teams within the center 4. Self motivation, finding and resolving issues before they negatively impact project success. 5. Technical skill sufficient to estimate, plan, and execute successful projects 6. Ability to understand and drive key performance metrics Requirements: 8 - 12+ years of experience in software development with significant experience leading development teams. 7 - 10+ years of Java experience. 5+ years of experience developing large scale custom applications. 5+ years of experience working with various database platforms. 3+ years of experience working in a role with high levels of responsibility where solid follow-through and execution skills were exhibited using a get things done mentality. 3+ years of experience working in leadership role exhibiting a high-level of professionalism and ability to handle direct client and executive-level management interface. 5+ years of previous work experience in multi-level oral and written communications to diverse audiences at multiple organizational levels 3+ years of experience in a role that required interfacing and forming strong relationships with other technology areas in an environment that was process-oriented and deadline-driven. 3+ years of experience working in an analytical role identifying and solving problems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing to submit to National Agency Check. Must be willing to assist in obtaining U.S. government clearance. Must be willing to relocate to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Desired: Recent coding experience. Background in Agile methodologies. Knowledge of Unix.
