Amazon.com is launching a major re-architecture of its global financial systems, and we're looking for excellent software development engineers who are able, and willing, to take on a challenge that few other projects around can offer. In building a new shared platform, we are combining new ways to build and deliver business software - model-driven development, code generation, federated metadata services, business process execution & monitoring, and near-real- time business intelligence. This will be integrated into a Java-based suite of frameworks and web services complying with the extreme requirements of scalability, security, and availability that Amazon's customers and investors have come to expect. We're looking for true software professionals who are at ease with multiple programming paradigms, like to experiment with various frameworks and tools, understand the principles and practices of Agile software development, love delivering production-quality code, and know that the ultimate value of software is in delivering business value and delighting customers.
