  Small Jackson, MS Law Firm or Practice Group Sought for Acquisition or Merger by highly reputable and expanding New Orleans, LA firm.  Of greatest interest will be a profitable defense-oriented group of approximately 6 attorneys of varying levels, the majority of whom will have practiced together as a cohesive team for at least a few years - 5-10 ideal.  Group as described (or eventual group as put together from combination of two smaller groups of 2-4 or so each) will comprise majority of Jackson branch.  Client is interested in either an existing firm as described, or a break-off group from a larger firm, who want the benefit of more autonomy on files, more authority within the practice overall, and advancement of status within a firm.  One person out of eventual final group will be chosen as managing attorney for the branch, providing an outstanding opportunity for one to shift into a managing role for future career advancement.  Client will also consider solo practitioner with portable book of defense-oriented business.  Must be currently located within the general Greater Jackson, MS area, and be MS barred.  Office space, support staff, tech support, day to day administration, and benefits provided.  

   Client is seeking practices with corporate defense, business law, toxic tort defense, products liability defense, and other similar client bases, and who are currently profitable.  Those individuals and groups whose practice consists primarily of domestic, traffic, criminal, family or successions law will not be compatible with this firm and need not apply.
