Join us today for an inspired and purposeful mix of professional growth opportunities and personal rewards.   Job Description: This position is the primary service contact for SB Employer Groups (50-99 employees) and their respective brokers.  The SB Account Consultant will serve as the ultimate point of contact for determination and resolution of complex service issues for brokers and customers.  Develops strong working relationships with current employers that encourage renewal and future business with UnitedHealthcare. Lead and direct local and multi-site enrollment, benefit educational meetings and health fairs.  Accountable for increasing electronic services utilization and training of employer groups for assigned accounts. Primary Responsibilities:Support renewal of existing business and increase the profitability of business through selling new business to current accounts Support sales efforts targeted at potential new and renewal accounts; determine appropriate product to position to brokers/customers on behalf of Account Executive Prepare proposals for renewal and additional sales Research, analyze and identify root causes of complex service issues for brokers and customers Direct dedicated functional experts (billing, customer service, claims, etc.) on corrective action steps/issue resolution to ensure end to end resolution of the issues Lead, direct, and conduct enrollment/benefit meetings and health fairs for assigned business Educate and consult with brokers and employers on enrollment, benefits and electronic service processes Influence, educate, and train employer groups about UHC online electronic services, tools, and technologies Timeliness and quality of support provided to AE’s, management, customers, and brokers Number and quality of: open enrollment meetings customer/broker training sessions delivered on eServices and business impact resulting from that training Multi-site responsibilities Subject matter expert for electronic services and customer enrollment Promote and support new service model Participate in special projects as requested by management Qualifications:Product Knowledge:Detailed understanding of all UHC products, services and solutions Working knowledge of Enterprise/ancillary product lines Ability to navigate UHC internal departments to produce positive service results for clients and the company Extensive knowledge of internal people, roles/responsibilities and processesRelationship Building:Ability to: build and maintain strong internal/client/producer relationships work well in cross-functional teamsCustomer Focus:Ability to successfully enroll client accounts Consistently model a customer focused approach Effectively manage difficult service situations to a positive result Anticipates problem and develop contingency plansPersonal Attributes:Ability to: complete assigned major job objectives with limited direction and supervision multi-task grasp new ideas and products work with deadlinesStrong presentation / communication skills (written and verbal) Consistently demonstrates flexibility Excellent planning and organization skills Strong problem solving ability Consistent performerExperience:College degree or equivalent work experience in the managed health care industry Minimum 3-5 years industry experience (preferably in benefit enrollment with account management or new business sales strongly preferred in a managed health care industry) Demonstrated relationship management skills Superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues Strong problem solving and organizational skill Requires underwriting, financial and analytical skills Excellent: communication (written / verbal) and listening skills group presentation and training skills computer skills Demonstrated knowledge of benefits State Life and Health Insurance License requiredDiversity creates a healthier atmosphere:  equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V.
