Summary/General Description of Responsibilities:
Provide management and support services for base operation and maintenance (O&M) functions in accordance with DoD, Air Force, MAJCOM, base, and industry publications / standards. Act in the capacity of the Base Civil Engineer (BCE) function for all the activities and responsibilities listed in the PWS.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
· Management and supervision
· Facilities O&M
· Electronics O&M
· Logistics O&M
· Complete and continuous technical surveillance over the quality of contract performance
· Ensure compliance with the established performance schedules
· Maintain the workforce at peak operating efficiency
· Conduct close technical liaison with designated Government representatives
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
· A Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering or higher degree from an accredited college or university with minimum five (5) years experience in degree field. This requirement may be waived if the proposed person has ten (10) years of management experience in project, maintenance, engineering, or construction functional areas, either singularly or collectively.
· Work planning and estimating.
· Cost estimating.
· Scheduling and tracking work projects.
· Personnel practices.
· Project planning and fulfillment.
· Working knowledge of cold region work environments and marine (humid salt air) environments.
· Alaska State drivers License.
· Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
