Main tasks and responsibilities:

Sara Lee Food & Beverage is currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor for it's Oklahoma City production/distribution plant.

This position reports to the Distribution Manager. Main duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:

-Manage assigned shift with responsibility for timely and accurate deliveries to depots;
-Coordination with sales department and depots;
-Monitor product quality;
-Participate in and deliver employee safety initiatives;
-Monitor and foster good employee relations;
-Employee scheduling;
-Adhere to all Sara Lee Food & Beverage Global Practice Standards;
-Enforce work rules, GMP's, plant rules, and compliance with all regulatory agencies;
-Maintain an employee friendly environment;
-Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing activities

Qualifications & skills:

-HS Degree required. College degree preferred.
-Previous manufacturing experience required, preferably in food industry;
-AIB certification a plus;
-Must have computer knowledge in MS Office applications ton include Excel, Word and email;
-Must be willing to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays;
-Must have high motivation and be willing to drive change;
-Must have good supervisory/people skills and problem solving ability;
-Must be physically able to load and unload transport trucks;
-Capable of lifting 50lbs, pushing & pulling 300lbs;
-Must coordinate daily with other departments including sales and production.
