Keco, Inc. is looking for a hands on Manager to oversee and run its night shift Plastic Injection molding operation.

 

Position Description

The Shift Manager is completely responsible for all activities on their shift (Midnight to 8 AM).  The manager organizes and manages all activities on the shift; including, managing the Human Resources on assigned shift to ensure the safety and efficiency of our Associates.  The Shift Manager will support, train and develop our operators and other Associates on their shift by working with them throughout the shift. The right Manager will work with his/her employees in training, instructing and being a leader  while overcoming production problems.

 

Position Responsibilities

Assign operators for machines, rework and grinders by required start of shiftProvide payroll time for all Associates assigned to shift to the Payroll Manager Develop and provide safety training for all Associates on shift Provide policy communication to all Associates on shift Create deviations for any change in personnel to standard defined in Work Order Hire and fire Associates based on Keco requirements Provide Associate reviews at the defined intervals Verify all Associate activities meet Keco Policy and Standards Ensure training for Associates at machines, rework and grinders Ensure Associates are following all work instructions and policies on shift Ensure cleanliness of plant and equipment

 

Minimum Requirements for Position

2 years of supervisory experienceHigh School diploma or equivalentStrong organization skillsGood people skillsWork experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility (helpful but not required)Experience with production planning, scheduling and team building (helpful but not required)
