Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly-organized, team-minded SERVICE CENTER ENGINEER that is technically savvy yet has strong, dynamic customer relation skills.   Our ideal candidate may be a current Service Center or Mechanical Engineer that possesses the following experience and traits:

 

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering5 years of technical based engineering and customer relations experienceEquipment / component assessment experience Strong written and oral communication skillsResolution of field service issues Strong computer skills

This would be an excellent opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with others and is ready to take on the responsibility for the technical aspects of operations within the Service Centers of our client’s company.  Please note that some travel between sites is required on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate customers’ equipment to determine suitability for rework / replacement Determine if individual components can be reused / reworked Determine cost effectiveness of repair / replacement of equipment  Utilize understanding of critical manufacturing tolerances to reverse engineer and create CAD drawings for components produced outside of the company Develop and design detailed drawings for unit upgradesConduct failure analysis and develop technical reportsCoordinate engineering and manufacturing activities at vendor facilities and other company locationsMaintain a support capability to assist field sales effort in making technical presentations to customersAssist in technical training of shop personnelOversee the resolution of field service problemsInteract with customers, vendors, office, and shop personnel Serve as technical liaison to the engineering department at the main factory 

Requirements:

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

Experience with the following:Design or manufacturing engineeringAssembly / test supervisionField source engineeringKnowledge or experience with the following:Fluid film and rolling element bearingsVibration analysisPower Transmission / Gears (PLUS)At least 5 years of experience working within a manufacturing setting performing activities such as design and field service engineering and/or equipment repair Highly knowledgeable of critical manufacturing tolerancesStrong written and oral communication skillsProficient in the use of a computer 

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

 

Rate of Pay:

$50,000 to $70,000 Annually

 

Hours:

1st Shift

This is a full-time, permanent position
