Senior Tax Manager - To $125,000 Base With 20% Bonus

This large and stable corporation headquartered in the Charlotte area is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for a highly visible and critical role. 

 

Primary duties will include:

 

Coordination and review of U.S. income tax returns (federal, state, and international), income tax estimates, and supporting schedules.  Maintaining SOX control compliance relating to income tax.  Must have the ability to work independently to ensure income tax returns, tax estimates, and tax cash forecasts are timely and accurately completed and tax systems are adequately utilized.  Coordinate with internal staff on accounting for income taxes, SEC reporting, development of tax cash forecasts, and will assist with audit information requests and special projects as needed.  Managing subordinate workload as appropriate with changing priorities to complete work in a timely manner.  Perform research and analysis of complex tax issues and review subordinates’ research as necessary.  Review financial information from various corporate entities and establish a consultant relationship with business units and corporate departments to provide income tax analysis. Keeps abreast of new income tax developments and analyze significant developments to determine and communicate the impact to management and business units; organize, review and maintain accurate tax records.  Position will takes lead role in mentoring and training of subordinates

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance 8+ years of direct related tax experience (Big 4 public accounting and large corporate tax experience is highly preferred) Computer literate Detail oriented Proven conceptual and analytical ability CPA and / or Masters degree in Taxation Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with peers, direct reports, management, representatives of other utilities, outside consultants, government auditors and representatives.
