what you would do

 

JOB SUMMARY

Report directly to the Senior Director, Tax

 

As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will complete tax returns, estimated payments, and tax provisions.  Also, perform tax research and assist with tax audits and planning projects as necessary.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and review federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns including preparation of tax return supporting work papers. Prepare estimated income tax payment calculations and coordinate the processing of payments. Prepare tax return extensions. Prepare income tax provision and deferred tax account analysis as required.  Prepare and review reconciliations supporting general ledger balances for tax accounts. Maintain tax due date calendar.    Assist with audit defense and tax planning projects as required. Prepare UK Value Added Tax Return. Coordinate preparation of research and development tax credit calculation. Maintain corporate income tax compliance system. Interact with the IRS and state agencies to resolve return questions and notices and other colleagues and customers. Own tax return preparation package process. Train finance staff on tax issues Research new tax issues and educate business personnel. Plan and schedule work activities to complete assignments in their order of priority and to make the most effective use of time. Contribute to a favorable working climate within corporation through a friendly manner and cooperative attitude in dealing with other employees and customers; willing to assist others as necessary to meet deadlines. Follow established departmental and other required procedures. Understand fully the requirements of our jobs and the systems that support us. Supervise the Tax Department intern. Other duties as assigned.

General Qualifications & Competencies

 

§         Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance

§         3+ years of work experience with corporate tax compliance

§         CPA (completion or progress toward certification) preferred

§         Motivated, self starter

§         Excellent communication skills

§         Ability to influence and work with a team

§         Willingness to relocate to our headquarters offices

§         Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States on a regular, full-time basis
