Description: Manpower is looking for a highly professional skilled Senior Tax Accountant. This position is designed to deal with state and local tax issues and reports to the Global Tax Department. This role takes a high level of dedication to the company and the Accounting/Tax field. * Knowledge of state tax concepts and requirements, with the ability to do research and monitor changes to state laws.

* Must be able to work independently and as a shared resource/team member.

* Excellent communication, teamwork, organization and analytical skills.

* Possess the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.

* Proficiency with Excel, Compliance/Provision tax software (Thomson RIA InSource RS, and eProperty tax preferred), and General Ledger Accounting software (PeopleSoft Financials preferred)

* Prepare Sales and Use tax returns, assist with maintenance of compliance systems and assist with sales/use tax audits.

* Prepare Personal Property tax returns and work with branch offices to maintain accurate asset reporting.

* Prepare Business License applications and returns according to licensing requirements and work with branch offices to maintain compliance.

* Prepare and file Unclaimed Property Reports.

* Knowledge of state taxable income and apportionment concepts.

* Assist with preparation of State & Local corporate and partnership tax returns, state income tax provisions, quarterly estimated state and local income tax payments and filing state and local extension requests. Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.

* Three (3) to Five (5) years of State Income tax, Sales and Use tax, and Personal Property tax experience in public accounting or in a large corporate environment.
