We are seeking an energetic, innovative, customer-focused individual to join our IT Enterprise Infrastructure team. This position will be responsible for a full-lifecycle development and support of the daily operations of IT infrastructure and networking functions. The successful candidate will need to be able to multi-task and get up to speed quickly in a dynamic IT environment.

1) Maintaining and enhancing the operational readiness and performance of the laptop, desktop, server, and networking infrastructure.
2) Internal client care (helpdesk), event, and crisis management.
3) Development of networking & system policies, procedures, and standards.


Primary Responsibility:
•Manage redundant, distributed, and high availability production networks.
•Oversee Bellevue and Atlanta datacenters as well as a small office located in Lewiston ,Maine consisting of 40 +Windows 2003 servers.
•Configuration, deployment, maintenance, and security processes for all mission critical servers including web servers, application servers and database servers.
•Effective research and identification of functional, technical, and security issues.
•Write scripts to automate common tasks and help diagnose problems.
•Research new technologies that will improve efficiency.
•Identify and develop process improvements in the interaction between business application and the IT organization.
•Complete technical documentation of system processes and configurations.
•Troubleshoot complex problems across LANs, WANs, server, and desktop connectivity, operating systems, and application anomalies with various teams.
•Create and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
•Research new technologies that will improve efficiency.
•Maintain contacts and relationships with key components of the IT organization, including consultants and vendors.
•Specify and procure SW, HW and peripherals.
•Available to participate in On-call rotation.
•Oversees backup server at Bellevue datacenter (Microsoft DPM 2007).


Technical Requirements:
•Competency in DNS, DHCP, WINS, ISA firewalls, Exchange 2007, Active Directory 2003, TCP/IP, anti-virus software, RRAS VPN, SMTP, IIS and SharePoint Portal 2007
•Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 server: Installation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, backups and restoration.
•Competency in Windows XP/2000/2003.
•A strong understanding of how to install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2003 (standard and advanced) for a production environment. Including application of service packs and hot fixes.
•Competency in backup and disaster recovery techniques (Including experience with VERITAS and Microsoft DPM 2007).
•Competency in day-to-day desktop / laptop support issues.
•A strong understanding of network and system monitoring tools (Including MOM and AngryIP Scanner).
•Must be able to configure and maintain secure VPN infrastructure.
•Maintain and optimize terminal server environment for remote user workforce.


Travel Requirements:
•This position requires approx 20% travel between the main office and datacenters.


Educational Requirements:
•BS in Computer Science desired. Will consider equivalent experience.
•At least 5+ years of experience in the IT Industry.
•2 of the following certifications or equivalent experience required.
- A+ Certified or equivalent experience is required.
- Network+ Certified or equivalent experience is required.
- MDBA Certified or equivalent experience is required.
- MCSA Certified or equivalent experience is required.
