Senior Structural Engineer

 

We are currently on the hunt for a Senior Structural Engineer in San Francisco, California to work on multiple projects in several transportation market sectors.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Structural Engineer will primarily hold the project management responsibilities but will also be the technical lead. This person will be involved in the entire design process and be involved in the preparing of conceptual design and construction documents and coordinating with other departments. This person will also be responsible for supporting staff Project Managers with specific project development and design tasks such as producing drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications; preparing investigative design reports and studies; responding to client's questions and comments; reviewing contractor submittals and providing clarifications during construction. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for client satisfaction, and must have the ability to independently maintain client relationships adhere to accepted industry and company standards.

Requirements:

 

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures; Masters Degree in Structural Engineering preferred. Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE)10 plus years of comprehensive structural engineering experience with A/E firm. Thorough understanding and knowledge of the Federal, State, and local codes and regulations that pertain to the industryExperience with DOD and commercial clients a plus. Project management experience leading and exercising functional authority for successful completion of multi-discipline engineering projects. Experience in wide range of structural design for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry in industrial and commercial buildings and transportation facilitiesStrong oral and written communication skills.Working knowledge of AutoCAD desirable; familiarity with structural engineering design software desirable.
