Summary:
Autodesk's LBS solutions help wireless carriers generate new revenue services and lower churn through enabling location applications in their subscriber's mobile devices. Position Summary:
The Location Services Senior Strategic Account Executive is responsible for generating and managing revenue opportunities and overall expectations related to named Wireless Carrier accounts and the Autodesk team(s) servicing those accounts. The primary objective for the individual holding this position is to identify and close new revenue generating location service opportunities within specific wireless operators. The Senior Account Executive must posses the ability to sell into the Marketing, Business Development, Product and Engineering groups within a wireless operator. The key to success will be positioning Autodesk solutions as a high priority in the service launch plans of a wireless operator. Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships and close business with people in both technical and marketing roles is critical. In addition to direct customer relationships, the Senior Account Executive will also be responsible for coordinating with key technology partners operating within the account.
Experience in selling complex solutions to wireless operators including software middleware and end user applications is a pre-requisite for consideration, although various aspects or combinations of the above will be considered. Experience in location services is a plus.
Specific Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and representation for our solutions within specific wireless operators; Identifies new solution opportunities and organizes the resources to prepare Solution Plans required to close new business; Ensures smooth transition from pre-sales activities to deployment; Develops and manages a pipeline of opportunities in line with a high growth market segment Experience in using fundamental sales pipeline management and opportunity justification tools; Develops and implements marketing programs that drive incremental sales of Autodesk applications. Performs specific product and solution presentations to customers; Creates customer sales proposals that include an emphasis on the business case and ROI; Provides leadership and support for specific RFP and proposal responses; Interfaces directly with Marketing and Product Management with regard to product positioning, selling, and closing strategies; Interfaces directly with Finance and Marketing to ensure proposals meet the financial and revenue recognition requirements for our division; Account Team interface with Professional Services and Product Management to ensure that product requirements and product offers are consistent with Autodesk Location Services feature availability and product goals; Account Team interface with Professional Services organization to ensure that product offers are scheduled and deployable to meet revenue recognition and customer satisfaction goals; Interfaces directly with the Market Development Team to ensure coordination with key technology partners and their respective account teams; Maintains up-to-date general knowledge of Autodesk Location Services products, services and solutions in addition to wireless telecommunications market knowledge; Maintains detailed understanding of the competitive product capabilities and trends. Influence carrier management to secure good deck placement on the wireless phones Makes regular training visits to the carrier field retail stores/carrier business sales calls to provide feedback on experiences that could help drive additional salesRequired Experience:
5+ years experience selling and closing solution oriented business within the Wireless Telecommunication market, 5+ years experience as an Account Executive, Director managing one or more wireless operator accounts Excellent negotiation and closing skills Excellent sales presentation skills Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.Required Education:
The Account Executive candidate must possess a college level degree (Technology, Business or Marketing related degree) or equivalent experience.
