THIS IS NOT A POSITION TO START UP A COMPANY
Responsible for the implementation and oversight of startup services, according to the Power Group Startup Program, for various projects within the Power Business Group. Primary responsibility is to ensure that individual projects are properly supported by providing the startup resources and tools required. Principal areas of responsibility are safety, staffing, schedule analysis, cost analysis, for the various projects supported. Selected candidate will manage, monitor, and control several project startup organizations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and maintain an effective safety processes as related to startup activities.
Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.
Provide startup input to estimates, proposals and master schedules. Maintain historical information.
Advise upper management of regional/industry developments that may affect profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.
Identify and evaluate risks that may have an impact on the implementation of Startup Plans.
Assist site startup managers in Identifying and developing startup procedures and plans as required for the project.
Assist site startup managers in implementing and maintaining an effective quality control process as related to startup activities.
Determine individual project startup staffing requirements, in cooperation with project management.
Provide support and guidance for the personal and professional development of all Power Business Group startup personnel.
Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
Assist Projects with the following from the home office:
Review performance requirements of all major equipment orders and major subcontracts
Participate in design reviews to coordinate startup requirements with design operations.
Participate in front end design activities to define process system scope and boundaries.
Develop the turnover plan including turnover books and documentation.
Responsible to ensure all required licenses for start up operations are obtained.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills, computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications 10 years experience in Power Plant Startup and Commissioning Management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS:
BE/BS in any Engineering Discipline, Professional Engineer, Primavera P3 or P5, Access Database Proficiency, Safety- OSHA 10 & 30
