Senior Software/software Engineer - Quality Assurance

Exa is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our growing Software Quality Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to expand their skills and increase responsibility in a dynamic, growing company. This individual's responsibilities will include:

· Designing, building and running test cases to ensure correct functionality of the Visualization and GUI features.
· Expertise in creation, execution and maintenance of GUI automation applications.
· Investigate, report and help resolve test failures.
· Adapt test suites to exercise Boundary conditions.
· Carefully document tests and procedures.

This position will be closely involved with testing and releasing new versions of Exa's products, so organizational and documentation skills will be vital.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
· 3+ years in Software Development/QA preferably of an engineering application.
· Hands on experience with developing/maintaining/automating test suites/programs.
· Good knowledge of Linux, Windows and other UNIX platforms.
· Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills as well as problem-solving skills.
· Must be a self-starter who works equally well independently and in a team environment.
· Good communication and documentation skills.

Experience with one or more of the following would be considered a plus:

· Experience with using/developing APIs.
· Python and UNIX shell scripting.
